My One Eyed Saylor

Due to a freak accident, Saylor had to have emergency surgery to remove his eye Friday night. Now he is having to learn how to move around with the use of only one eye,and we have to learn how to work carefully around his blind side. And I am learning how to give shots,Saylor's favorite part of that is the sugar cubes he gets after he endures the shots.
Now he is referred to as : Pirate, One eyed Saylor, One eyed Bandit, and Popeye the sailor man........I don't really care what people call him, he came through it like a champ and is now enjoying VIP status.........

The only horse that has kicked me (so far) is finally leaving!!!!

All nice and clean now..........
But not for long...... a bath isn't a bath unless you roll in the dirt after!!!!!

Decisions,Decisions,Decisions!!!!!!

I love it that so many people are trying to find jobs for me. It is very entertaining,but tiring having to answer soooooo many questions like: What do you want to do? Are you interested in anything? How about this job? Do you have any skills??????

So now I have so many options. I could be...... plumbers assistant, baker, substitute teacher, music teacher, and many more....

And then there are the real job offers. I have been asked to go back to gardening with my old boss. I will have to decline that one. Then I have an interview with a lady who needs an personal assistant. I'm not quite sure if she needs a assistant or nanny or both. What would a person who is both be called? Not quite sure........

But California is looking good right now,or if needs be Florida.........

I really don't know why......

This past week I have received two bouquets of wildflowers and a handmade pair of earrings from my piano students. I don't know why they shower such kindness on me, but I love being their teacher.........

This morning I rode my horse for the first time this year. The first ride is usually interesting,but today a new mare arrived so Saylor was trying to impress her instead of paying attention to what he was supposed to be doing.......

Springtime!!!!!!

Earlier this week I was listening to the radio and the guys were talking about the one thing you see that means spring is really here. One guy said it was the crocuses in blossom, another said it was seeing the robins, and then another said it was the red wing black birds. I can't remember if they came to an agreement............

As of this weekend though, I have seen many robins and red-wing blackbirds, and I have also seen crocuses. So I guess no matter what you think is the true sign of spring,spring is here......and I'm loving it!!!!!!!!
