So Long, Farewell

The only horse that has kicked me (so far) is finally leaving!!!!

Bath Time.........

All nice and clean now..........
But not for long...... a bath isn't a bath unless you roll in the dirt after!!!!!

Decisions,Decisions,Decisions!!!!!!

I love it that so many people are trying to find jobs for me. It is very entertaining,but tiring having to answer soooooo many questions like: What do you want to do? Are you interested in anything? How about this job? Do you have any skills??????

So now I have so many options. I could be...... plumbers assistant, baker, substitute teacher, music teacher, and many more....

And then there are the real job offers. I have been asked to go back to gardening with my old boss. I will have to decline that one. Then I have an interview with a lady who needs an personal assistant. I'm not quite sure if she needs a assistant or nanny or both. What would a person who is both be called? Not quite sure........

But California is looking good right now,or if needs be Florida.........

I really don't know why......

This past week I have received two bouquets of wildflowers and a handmade pair of earrings from my piano students. I don't know why they shower such kindness on me, but I love being their teacher.........

This morning I rode my horse for the first time this year. The first ride is usually interesting,but today a new mare arrived so Saylor was trying to impress her instead of paying attention to what he was supposed to be doing.......

Springtime!!!!!!

Earlier this week I was listening to the radio and the guys were talking about the one thing you see that means spring is really here. One guy said it was the crocuses in blossom, another said it was seeing the robins, and then another said it was the red wing black birds. I can't remember if they came to an agreement............

As of this weekend though, I have seen many robins and red-wing blackbirds, and I have also seen crocuses. So I guess no matter what you think is the true sign of spring,spring is here......and I'm loving it!!!!!!!!

Recital Time............

It is that time of year that I have dreaded ever since I was nine. Come spring time you knew that Mrs. Smith was planning her recital and at any lesson she would let you know that you didn't have to play in the recital,but she really wanted you to. I was able to get out of it for a couple years until my mom started taking lessons and if she played at the recital I really had no excuse not to play. That year I believe I play The Little Church in the Wildwood, which I remember wanting to play because I could play it REALLY fast and also that Mrs. Smith didn't care for it that much. She did get her revenge though.........

Well now it is my turn to be in the teachers position,and it isn't any easier. This year is really hard since I have more families to try and work a recital around their schedule. Then trying to make up a program,and not to mention listening to the same songs for about 4 weeks.......Mrs. Smith used to tell me that it was as hard for her if not harder being the teacher,and I used to wonder why. I now am just amazed that that she would organize 2 recitals with about 20 students in both. That is quite a feat.
In the end though listening to the kids play,and seeing the rewards of their practicing and hard work, it is worth it.......
