Who???Me????????

With this last snow storm, the snow banks were pushed up against the edge of the fence, and of course they were really high. We were all thinking that it would be another barrier to keep the horses in. The horses had other ideas though. They thought it was great fun to climb over the snow banks and travel wherever they wanted to. My horse Saylor (a.k.a. Ain't Misbehavin) thought it was great to get out and get into one of the feed sheds and eat almost a 5 gal. bucket full of beet pulp. Fortunately he survived to continue his reign as king of all horses who can be jerks but you can't stop loving them. Horses................

Yesterday, as there was nothing else to do, us girls watched A Walk to Remember. One thing about the movie has really got me thinking. The girl is a good christian girl, and the guy is a rebel. After spending some time with her though he begins to change, and they eventually start to date. She is dying of leukemia,so they get married, and shortly after she passes away. All this time though he is not saved. He becomes a better person, but not a christian.
So, I guess what I've been thinking about is: Is it ever ok to date or marry a unsaved person? Or would you date a person who is not a believer, but not marry them. That sort of throws the whole reason for dating out the window.
In this situation it is different though, she knew that her time was short, and they really loved each other. After thinking about it, I'm still not positive, but I think it depends on the circumstances.
It was a great movie anyways............

One of our favorite things to do when Andrew and I were kids, was to go sliding after dark. There is something about it that is alot more exciting than sliding in the day time. It may sound evil, but it also meant that none of the little kids would be coming out. So Andrew and I could have the hill all to ourselves. Plus our Dad would usually come out,and and that made it even better.
Well, tonight all of us kids went out again, and it is still alot of fun. You can't just go down the hill, you have to try to hijack each other, and whoever reaches the bottom first wins. Sometimes it's not about winning, it is about stopping somebody else. And I tried to snowboard......I tried. It is pretty bad when Hannah can go down the hill all the way,and I thought I was doing good if I made it half way.........Oh well..........

I think I have joined the ranks of piano teachers who are thought of as harsh, cruel, and whatever else the students think about them. Not that these teachers have ever done anything to deserve this treatment, but I believe it just sort of happens.
So when my students tell their children about their piano teacher Miss Jamin, it will probably sound like this: She was sooooooo mean. I mean she made me practice and I didn't want to. And why did I have to play my scales so many times?????
Yes, give me 30 years and I think my ears are going to be ringing!!!!!!!!!
